ARRIVING 4TH JULY:

BEC + BRIDGE X

MARC ERAM

The ready-to-wear capsule collection designed in partnership with LA based stylist, Marc Eram. A unique marriage of the two creative energies that carries a sleek, sartorial style with an essence of 90s glamour and grunge.

Marc’s signature style is always effortless with a sense of grit and edge, creating a natural synergy with the brand.

The Australian born stylist began his career immersed in the fashion industry working as a designer, stylist and project manager for Jeremy Scott. In 2019, he began freelancing as a celebrity stylist working with a diverse roster of clients including Stella Maxwell, Barbara Palvin, Irina Shayk, Sofia Richie, Dixie D’Amelio and Jesse Jo Stark.

Consisting of 17 key pieces, the capsule exudes subtle and effortless sexiness. Masculine silhouettes are created using structured tailoring and contrasted by feminine, clean lines in the way of panelled, form fitting dresses, boudoir corsets and luxurious, sheer fabrications.

"Growing up in Australia allowed me to witness the journey of BEC + BRIDGE from the very start of my interest in fashion. I have countless memories of suggesting BEC + BRIDGE to my sister and friends for any kind of occasion as I was growing up and now in my styling career in LA.

The collection has my personal spin and edge on it while still staying true to the BEC + BRIDGE brand. There are pieces that are softer contrasted by pieces that feel a little harder while connecting to my signature styling aesthetic.

The collaboration between us throughout the design process has been warm and celebratory producing the most authentic collection of both of our creative directions. I feel like we have encapsulated something that reflects us both beautifully."

B+B: What was your inspiration behind the MARC ERAM x BEC + BRIDGE collection?

ME: I was inspired mostly by the 90's, clean classic lines, effortless silhouettes and chic tailoring.

What drove your move to LA? What do you love about living there?

I moved here initially for a job, not knowing that I would end up loving it so much and want to be here permanently.

I love the lifestyle here, the fact that you can be hiking on the side of a mountain at 10am and then be laying out at the beach by 12pm is one of my favorite things.

What do you miss most about Australia when you’re away?

Mostly my family and friends, but there’s a few restaurants in Melbourne that I miss. Also the overall energy in Melbourne, especially in the summertime.

When styling an outfit, what rules do you always follow?

I never have any rules when I'm styling, every client and look can be so different so when you have rules I feel like you’re putting yourself in a box.

I tend to go off what character the client wants to be that day or for that event and then create a world around it.

How would you describe your personal style and aesthetic?

My personal style is generally what’s comfortable and easy, especially when it’s a day on set or a day spent pulling. It’s pretty warm here right now so I’ll do a tailored short and a vintage t-shirt and a trainer, but I have a bag obsession so I’ll usually mix it up with a fun bag.

Tell us about your favourite wardrobe item?

Bags, I've been collecting for a while now and my obsession has not slowed down. Right now I can’t stop using my Louis Vuitton x Murakami cherry print bucket bag.

Who are your style icons?

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, they’ve been the most stylish girls forever without ever following a single trend.

What is your favourite restaurant in LA?

I love Pace, and really like Stir Crazy which is new.

What is your favourite pastime?

I wish I had a more exciting answer, but just getting to hang out with my friends is my favourite thing to do. Everyone’s so busy these days so the moments we get to be together are really special.
