SUSTAINABILITY + ETHICS
CARBON NEUTRAL SHIPPING
BEC + BRIDGE is committed to reducing the impact of our online operations and is taking steps to build a more sustainable ecommerce business. To offset the impact of our ecommerce shipments, we now provide free carbon neutral shipping for all online orders.
For every order processed online, we make a contribution to carbon removal and storage projects that are working to actively reverse climate change as part of Shopify’s Sustainability Fund.
Through the use of the Shopify Planet app, we calculate the emissions generated by the shipment of every online order and invest in carbon removal and storage projects such as Grassroots Carbon, Running Tide, and Heirloom to ensure that all online order shipments are carbon neutral.
SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
We have phased out all non-recyclable elements from our product packaging.
Our online mailer bags are made of plant based materials and are completely compostable.
Our bridal collection boxes and packaging is made from recycled paper and is recyclable. In addition to this, all of our ecommerce collateral is printed on recycled card stock and is completely recyclable.
BEC + BRIDGE retail bags are made from sustainably sourced materials and are 100% biodegradable. Our garment swing tags are also made from recycled paper.
ETHICAL MANUFACTURING
BEC + BRIDGE works with reputable manufacturers who have agreed to our Supplier Code of Conduct requiring the provision of safe and ethical working conditions for all workers. We co-create our collections with our makers, and only partner with Australian and global suppliers who sign our Supplier Code of Conduct ensuring they operate against our strict ethical principles. We believe in a balanced lifestyle and have made this philosophy a priority for every person involved in our supply chain.
We are passionate about supporting local makers and maintaining the Australian manufacturing of our collections whenever possible. We continue to prioritise our local Sydney-based makers, many of whom we have worked with for over 15 years.
As the brand has grown, we are faced with the challenge of our collections outgrowing the capacity of some of our Australian makers or simply not being able to locally source the specialised manufacturing that we require. In these instances, we only partner with offshore suppliers who can ensure a safe working environment for their staff.
Transparency is important to us and we want you to have visibility of our production process, and the workers behind our garments. For more insights into what goes on behind the scenes in the creation of a BEC + BRIDGE garment, check out our Meet Our Makers page.
ELIMINATING TEXTILE WASTE
BEC + BRIDGE has partnered with UPPAREL, Australia’s leading textile recycling company, who are working to create a circular economy in the fashion industry by eliminating textile waste from landfill.
Through our partnership with UPPAREL, we are able to reuse and repurpose excess stock and fabric offcuts to extend the life cycle of our garments.
We are working towards expanding our impact by offering our customers the opportunity to recycle pre-loved BEC + BRIDGE garments in our retail boutiques in 2023.

SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT
At BEC + BRIDGE, we only partner with suppliers who share a common vision and a commitment to provide fair working conditions for all workers. We require all suppliers to abide by our Supplier Code of Conduct to ensure our products are manufactured to the highest standards while maintaining International Labour Organisation (ILO) principles and internationally accepted labour practices in our end to end supply chain.

• We expect our Suppliers to ensure all Sub-Contractors and Third-Party suppliers follow the expectations of this Supplier Code of Conduct at all times.
• People are at the core of what we do. We will not become complicit in human rights abuses in our supply chain particularly in the areas of Child Labour, Discrimination, Harassment, Freedom of Association, Modern Slavery/Forced Labour, Regular Employment, Wages and Working Hours;
• Ensuring workers are protected by providing a safe and healthy workplace as per the minimum requirements of local, regional and national laws;
