Introducing Casimere Jollette, a multitalented force hailing from Chicago. As a model, actor, dancer, and artist, Casimere effortlessly blends her innate creativity into every aspect of her life. Known for her role as Bette in the Netflix original series 'Tiny Pretty Things,' she now resides in Brooklyn dedicating her time to styling, designing, creating, and capturing moments on film.

We partnered with the creative to style her favourite pieces from the latest collection 'DAVIEL'. Read on for our full interview and an exclusive glimpse into Casimere's world.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE + AESTHETIC?

I love the juxtaposition of combining masculine workwear and edgy NYC street style along with the soft prima girly chic look. The goal is to always try and make it hard and edgy with just a kiss of sweetness. I think it helps a lot that I am an actual ballerina living in NYC. The city just makes you edgy as is, and your style morphs with it!

WHAT ARE YOUR ULTIMATE WARDROBE STAPLES?

Recently, staples in my wardrobe consist of a classic ballerina flat, nylon track pants, and overside tees and button-ups. Let’s not forget a long trench for layering! I like to steal my boyfriends haha.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE FROM THE 'DAVIEL' COLLECTION?

I am quite literally obsessed with the Blanche Halter Maxi Dress. It is so form-fitting and hugs your body like a glove, showing off your best figure. I love the low dramatic neckline that accentuates the décolletage and the open back that drops to the tailbone making you look longer than ever. Wow. Everything I just said makes this dress sound like the hottest thing ever. (It is).

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PASTIME?

Recently my favourite pastime has been cooking and baking. LOL. Whenever I have an ounce of free time you can find me in the kitchen coming up with new recipes and making myself a sweet treat. I had a few hours to myself this morning, so ultimately I was in the kitchen and I made some yummy chocolate mousse to have for dessert this evening! A big random dream of mine is to go study abroad and become a chef.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE?

My favourite film has to be Spirited Away. I don’t think I could ever not be in the mood to watch this film. There is just something about it that makes me feel so happy and cozy inside. No matter how many times I watch it. Studio Ghibli just gets me and all my needs.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE ROLE SO FAR IN YOUR ACTING CAREER?

My favourite ever role and project that I hold so close to my heart has to be that of Bette from the Netflix series, Tiny Pretty Things. I have never felt so close and enveloped with a character. Getting to live in her shoes for months and months on end of filming was truly the most rewarding and exciting experience. I’ve also never had so much in common with a character that I could relate to so heavily. Growing up a ballet dancer in Chicago, and years later getting to portray a ballet dancer in Chicago for the whole world to see, really felt like I was getting to share my life story. It was so special. I am still beyond belief that I can even say I’ve had the chance to do that.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS YEAR?

This year there is a lot to look forward to. I am going on my third year of living in NYC and currently on the hunt to find the perfect apartment in Brooklyn with enough space for my clothes LOL as well as a backyard for our dogs. Truly looking forward to the day of being settled in our so-called ‘perfect space’ to let our creative juices flow and flourish. Also, a lot to look forward to within the fashion world and all the fashion months coming up! Excited to head back to Europe and continue my endeavours in fashion.
